UpcomingTaiwan: 30 people (breakdown to be confirmed). Japan: about 242 (approximate). Taiwanese schools, classroom activities and the day programme will be announced once confirmed.
What every batch includes
Dates and itineraries differ from batch to batch, but every batch shares the same core: from the school classroom to the council chamber and finally the concert-hall stage.
- 1
School exchange
Taiwanese students visit a Japanese school, join a school-wide assembly, perform for each other and exchange gifts.
- 2
Joining classes
Students split into classrooms and learn alongside Japanese children through music, games and simple language.
- 3
Break-time activities
Recess and lunch together — friendships form quickly even without a shared language.
- 4
Accompanied throughout
Officials of the local board of education accompany the group all day; in some batches the council chair and councillors also visit the school to assist.
- 5
Programme for parents
Parents who do not enter the school join hands-on activities and a city sightseeing tour arranged by the city.
- 6
Visit to the city council
In the afternoon the group visits the city council and receives a certificate of honour and a souvenir.
- 7
Music rehearsal
At the concert hall, the group rehearses with the performing groups arranged by the Japanese side.
- 8
Dedicated concert
A grand concert for the group, followed by exchange and a joint performance with the local groups.
Highlights
IllustrativeOctober 2026 | Visit to Arida City
For the school exchange on 11 December, we visited Arida City in October 2026 and met local education and city officials.
Make your school the next batch
Each batch is a school whose children bring their own music into Japanese classrooms and onto a real stage.
A formal concert-hall performance
Beyond the classroom exchange, students take the stage of a concert hall in Wakayama and perform together with Japanese students.
Certificate of honour and official record
Students receive a certificate of honour and a souvenir at the city council, and the organising committee issues a participation certificate that records the performance and exchange.

- Review
Places and schedules depend on the school year and the host schools in Japan. Feel free to ask first.
On the Taiwan side, the Lexuan Foundation co-organises and coordinates the programme as the administrative and communication window for Taiwanese schools — exchange applications, documents, pre-departure preparation and liaison with the board of education in Japan are handled in one place.
