MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Let an instrument,
become the child's path toward
the world the starting point

"What we really want to do is not just arrange a performance, but to walk alongside children as they build confidence through music, learn to work together, and discover more possibilities in life."

Original Intent
Being There
Connection

When a child holds an instrument for the first time, what we see is not just the start of a lesson, but the beginning of a journey that may change a life.

Music teaches children to listen, to wait, to cooperate, and to persevere. As different voices come to understand one another in ensemble, children begin to realize that while individual strength matters, a truly complete piece of music comes from everyone's willingness to adjust for a shared goal and to respect one another.

The Lexuan Cultural Education Foundation was not founded to hold a few more events, but to build a path of learning that can accompany children over the long term. From a suitable instrument, a stable teacher, and an orchestra to grow with together, to the chance to stand on stage and step into different cities and cultures — every link in this chain matters.

The true value of education is not simply putting a child on stage, but helping them find confidence, discipline, and the courage to face the world in the process of preparing for it.

Over the years, starting from Taiwan, we have continued to connect with schools, orchestras, musicians, and educators in different cities across Japan, China, and Europe. I have always believed that truly meaningful international exchange is not a single trip, nor just one performance, but an opportunity for children to step into different cultures, learn to respect differences, understand one another, and build friendships through playing music together.

For teachers, we hope to offer more professional exchange, conductor training, and teaching support; for schools, we hope to help build orchestras and musical cultures that can operate long-term; for families, we hope every effort a child makes can be seen, encouraged, and become a cherished memory shared between parent and child.

Every step the Foundation takes relies on the trust and partnership of society at large. The support of businesses, the expertise of musicians, the dedication of teachers, the help of volunteers, and the companionship of every family allow goodwill to go beyond donation and truly transform into abilities and perspectives that children can carry with them.

Going forward, we will continue to do what is difficult but important: ensuring more children have instruments to play, teachers to guide them, teams to make music with, stages to be seen on, and opportunities to reach a wider world through music.

Thank you to everyone who believes in music education and is willing to walk this path with us. Let us together protect children's passion, so that every voice not yet heard may have the chance to become an irreplaceable part of the music yet to come.

THREE BELIEFS

What we believe,
is also why we keep taking action

Every program of the Foundation centers on children's long-term growth, turning a single opportunity into lasting strength through educational expertise, local partnerships, and international connections.

01

Every child deserves to be seen

Talent and passion should never be buried by a lack of resources. Education should give children a starting point—and keep the path ahead open.

OPPORTUNITY
02

Being there matters more than one result

True education takes time, relationships, and steady support. We value every step of a child's growth—through rehearsal, failure, adjustment, and starting again.

COMPANIONSHIP
03

Music can connect different worlds

When children perform alongside partners from different cities, countries, and cultures, what they gain isn't just skill—it's the ability to understand the world.

CONNECTION
MUSIC CONNECTS THE WORLD

Starting from a single classroom,
letting children step into a bigger world

Music is one of the few languages that need no translation to bring people together in understanding. Ensemble playing teaches children to listen, and international exchange lets that listening cross cities, languages, and cultures.

The foundation will continue building a lasting cross-border educational network through school exchanges, music festivals, international masterclasses, joint rehearsals, and cultural experiences.

OUR COMMITMENT

Looking ahead,
we hold firm to four commitments

We measure impact not by the number of events, but by whether children receive lasting support, whether schools build capacity, whether partnerships endure, and whether public resources are used transparently and responsibly.

One

Making learning more accessible

Lowering barriers to instruments, instruction, and participation so more children can begin learning.

Two

Making educational support more lasting

Moving from one-time events toward long-term development of courses, orchestras, and school culture.

Three

Making international exchange more meaningful

Valuing joint rehearsals, cultural understanding, and lasting partnerships between schools.

Four

Making public accountability more transparent

Clearly presenting project progress, outcomes, partnerships, and use of resources.
